[Webinar] Stop babysitting your coding agents

MCPs give your agents access to information, not understanding. The teams pulling ahead are using a context engine to give agents the right context for every task, so they stay on track without the set up tax or the correction loops. Join live on May 6 (FREE) to see how.

Ghost: Free Postgres For Agents

Agents are desperate for ephemeral databases.

They spin up projects, fork environments, test ideas, and tear them down. Over and over. But every database on the market was designed for humans who provision once and stick around. Agents don't work that way.

Ghost is a database built for agents. Unlimited databases, unlimited forks, 1 TB of storage, and 100 compute hours per month. All free. Try it here.

NOLA: Tiles, Trumpets & Table Talk

A Black Girls Mahjong, Too! New Orleans Weekend Experience

There are cities you visit… and then there are cities that pull up a chair, pour you something sweet, put a little brass in the background, and invite you to stay awhile.

This summer, Black Girls Mahjong, Too! is headed to New Orleans for a weekend where Mahjong meets music, culture, cuisine, and community.

Welcome to Tiles, Trumpets & Table Talk — a curated Mahjong weekend inspired by the rhythm, flavor, and soul of NOLA.

And this time, the timing could not be more perfect.

Our New Orleans weekend is being planned around Satchmo SummerFest 2026, taking place August 1–2, 2026 in New Orleans. The festival celebrates the life, music, and legacy of Louis “Satchmo” Armstrong, one of New Orleans’ most beloved jazz legends. (frenchquarterfest.org)

This is not just a getaway.
This is a whole vibe.

Think American Mahjong, social play, good food, grown-folks fellowship, rich conversation, jazz in the air, and that unmistakable New Orleans energy that makes everything feel just a little more magical.

Why New Orleans?

New Orleans knows how to bring people together.

From the food to the music, from the porches to the parades, from the history to the hospitality — NOLA is built for connection. And if there is one thing we know how to do at BGMJ², it is bring people together around the table.

This weekend is designed for Mahjong lovers, curious beginners, culture seekers, solo travelers, couples, and friends who want a weekend that feels both elevated and easy.

Whether you come for the tiles, the trumpets, the table talk, or all three — there will be a seat for you.

Why Satchmo SummerFest?

The trumpet in Tiles, Trumpets & Table Talk is not just a cute name. It is a nod to the musical soul of New Orleans and to none other than Satchmo himself — Louis Armstrong.

For those who may be a little under the radar on the reference, Satchmo was one of the most influential jazz musicians of all time, and New Orleans continues to honor his legacy through Satchmo SummerFest each year.

The festival is scheduled annually around Armstrong’s birthday, August 4, and includes music, food, lectures, a parade, and cultural programming that celebrates the spirit of New Orleans jazz. (frenchquarterfest.org)

So yes — we are bringing the Mahjong tables, but NOLA is bringing the trumpet.

What to Expect

During the weekend, we will curate a relaxed but intentional itinerary that will include Mahjong social play, beginner-friendly table time, New Orleans food and fellowship, jazz-inspired outings, and optional Satchmo SummerFest experiences.

Expect American Mahjong tables, casual play, and guided support for those still finding their rhythm. Newer players are welcome. This will not be an intimidating space. We will keep it fun, social, and approachable.

And because you cannot do New Orleans without eating well, we are also planning space for good meals, good conversation, and plenty of “girl, you have to try this” moments.

A Little Satchmo, A Little Second Line

Satchmo SummerFest gives us the perfect cultural anchor for the weekend — live music, New Orleans flavor, and a celebration of the jazz legacy that helped shape the city’s sound.

We are also keeping an eye on the local second line schedule. If there is a community second line happening during our weekend that fits the flow of the trip, we will explore it as an optional cultural experience for those who want to witness one of New Orleans’ most iconic traditions.

Nothing forced. Nothing overpacked. Just good timing, good culture, and good company.

Who This Weekend Is For

This experience is for women who want a fun solo-friendly getaway, couples looking for something different and culturally rich, Mahjong players who love travel, beginners who want a welcoming place to learn, friends who need a weekend away, and culture lovers who want more than a basic tourist trip.

And yes — while we are proudly rooted in Black women’s leisure and community, our tables remain open to those who understand the assignment: respect the space, honor the vibe, and come ready to play.

The Vibe

Mahjong tiles clicking.

Trumpets singing.

Beignets dusted in powdered sugar.

Good shoes on cobblestone streets.

Laughter over lunch.

Jazz floating through the summer air.

A second line possibility on our radar.

Table talk that turns strangers into travel friends.

This is Black Girls Mahjong, Too! taking our community on the road — with a little more brass, a little more flavor, and a whole lot of joy.
